The term - "Thank You for Your Service" - is one that is truly appreciated by Veterans of all Military Branches. Over the past 8 decades America has engaged in World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the Cold War, Gulf War, and The Global War on Terror. It was during these conflicts and during times of Peace that Americans from all walks of life answered our Nation's call to serve as the defense for our FREEDOM and our WAY of LIFE.
On April 24, 2022, we will be hosting our Second Annual Tour De Corps 1775 bike ride through the City of Friendswood, Texas.
THE INTENT of this ride is to provide an opportunity for Bike Enthusiasts at all skill levels to participate in a GROUP RIDE to show their support for our Veteran Community. In honor of the United States Marine Corps, the ride will be 17.75 miles - a distance representative of the year of birth of our beloved Corps.
THE PURPOSE of this ride is to raise funds for the Marine Corps Coordinating Council, Southeast Texas' Colonel "Iron Mike" Harrington Education Grant Fund. The current purpose of this fund is to provide educational grants to Marines assigned to the Rice University/University of Houston/Prairie View A&M Naval ROTC Consortium as Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program (MECEP) students as they study to earn a Degree then become commissioned as Marine Corps Officers.
The funds raised by this ride will allow us to realize our future purpose and expand the reach of our education grant and begin to award them to selected dependent children of Marine Veterans throughout Southeast Texas.
